Each year I look forward to Viva La Gong festivities and this year's favourite event was the Wollongong Multicultural Fest (October 2008). One of the many food stalls featuring fare from all over the
world was Tamarind Tree Curries.
I was feeling rather peckish and settled on a Spicy Rice with Daal and Spinach Curry which, with a little seasoning of salt and pepper, was delicious. It was full of flavour and not too heavy like many curries I have eaten. It was served with some Roti (Sri-lankan bread that was very tasty and great to dip in the curry sauce.
The smells of the stalls were heavenly and as I waited to be served I took some photos of the display of authentic herbs and spices.

Loved the cuisine, mouthwateringly tasty, spotless kitchen, fabulous service, authentic tastes. Loved the fact that the chef knew his stuff, and was happy to give us first timers some interesting facts.
Tell us where we can get some more!!!!!!
