A few years ago when I was living in Keiraville I convinced my friends to head into Ciao's Mediterranean Restaurant and Pizzeria. It soon became a fortnightly favourite, especially after we purchased a Rewards Club Card online which offers a 2 for 1 on small pizzas.

Two of the first pizzas we ever ordered were the Greek meatballs pizza and my favourite, the seafood pizza. It opened my eyes to what a true gourmet pizza experience could be. It's only ten minutes from Wollongong and well worth the visit! I am happy to say that Ciao's has been nominated for an award from the Restaurant and Catering 2009 South Coast Awards

With the quality of food, service and wonderful ambiance it is easy to see why!

I asked the lovely people at Gwynneville's ChicknRoast if they had anything low carb on their menu. They replied that their daughter was on a low carb diet and that their son George often cooked a low carb meal for his sister - it consists of beef cooked on the barbeque with a special marinade then layered over a large serve of greek salad featuring the best marinated feta I've ever tasted.

One of the Take Aways on Gwynneville's Gipps Road is the Original Fish and Chips store. Meals of note include the garlic grilled fish, chicken satay hamburgers, seafood basket and many others.

Located inside Wiseman Park Wollongong City Bowling Club is The Park restaurant. Being a local I really love it that a top class restaurant is so close by. Their chef is very friendly and will cater to those with low carb needs. I swear by his warm thai salad and the garlic prawns are amazing. Wanting to try something different we looked at the specials board.
